And yet. Peter still showed up. He still followed His friend and Savior into an improbable situation. By the end, because he showed up, bravely believed, and put in effort, he must have understood two things with greater clarity than ever before.

love note #1: you are the one for the job.
So, as a future note to all of us in the waiting, wondering, not-quite-sure-but-still-wanting-to-dream-big, holding area: you are the one for the job. Those little droplets of ideas, the things that get you happy and excited about having air still pumping through your lungs. You are the one to do them.

Christ could swoop in and lift anything we are heavy with. But instead, He weeps with us. Because we need understanding and love more than we need quick fixes and convenience. So today I am going to do a bit of crying while watching a comfort show wrapped in my favorite Christmas blanket.

On went the Christmas movie (Holiday Inn with Bing Crosby!) and I got to work. Tweeking, adjusting, moving, and removing. All this is a gentle reminder to you and me; that you don’t have to wait until certain times to readjust and refresh. Redos are always on the table, no matter the day or season. Today is the perfect day to start ____________.
